Good Neighbour Endowment Fund

Good Neighbour Endowment Fund was established in 1998, with the goal of opening understanding among ethnic and social groups and nations.

Mission scope and activities are based on the aims set by the Good Neighbour Endowment Fund at its inception, and also on conditions within the whole of society.

Since our basic focus lies in deepening understanding, our main effort is to prevent manifestations of xenophobia and hatred between individual layers of society, as well as to remove old stereotypes in our behavior and prejudices. We try to initiate, organize and support, both financially and morally, projects that assist communication, enhanced knowledge and cultural orientation.

Project Examples:

AMARE Roma (1999 - 2002)

AMARE Roma is an absolutely unique image documentation about the Roma minority, which exists everywhere in Europe. This series was introduced on television and in schools as an educational aid, a 36-part program, containing positive information about the Romany community. In general, project Amare Roma improved the level of understanding of the Roma, even among themselves. This effort provided a basic awareness of Romany language, culture, history and outstanding people.

Vietnamese in Bohemia (2003)

An educational project on broadcast television. Presents the culture of the Vietnamese minority living in Czech Republic.

Digifest 2004

Festival of digital technologies
